Brief Description:  Grove gear #1

Been away on March break this past week, and have been working long hours at work as a result of my upcoming move due to a promotion at work.

So, while I was down in Buffalo, I picked up a few things.

FlightDek D180
Garmin GTX 327 with a new installation kit
Garmin 496
HS-34

and my grove gear!

When I picked them up, I brought them to my fathers house so that he could x-ray them (He's a NDT tech). He found no cracks and the gear was flawless. He checked every inch of both gear, the gun drilled lines, and even the threads for the AN fittings.

I pulled them out today and applied some paint stripper to them, let it do it's magic, and then cleaned them up. The hardware and mounts were also stripped and cleaned. They look great!

I'll order new bolts and nuts for the brackets just to be on the safe side. I'll wait to get those when I order my wheels and brakes from Grove as well.

I also powered up the D180, GTX 327, and the 496. All appear to be working well. The 496 was used in auto mode for a while...looks great!

As it was so nice out, I had the time to move everything out of the garage, blow the garage out, then mop the floors...what a difference.
